Michelle's piano journey started at 4 and was competitively playing from a young age. Once in middle school, she started playing percussion in band. Around this time, Michelle found her love for music composition and started working on personal composition projects in addition to her prive piano lessons. Through ages 14-16, many solo piano pieces came to fruition, which were compiled and produced as a CD released at age 17. Michelle knew that she wanted to go to school for music!
Michelle was accepted to the College of Music at the University of North Texas (UNT) with a concentration in piano and a major of music composition in 2012. During her time at UNT she had the opportunity to work with highly skilled pianists to further develop her craft. Michelle's course work allowed her to extensively study music theory, aural skills, composition, orchestration, and instrumentation. She has a deep love for music theory and understanding music from a fundamental level.
Michelle Brite's other areas of expertise include a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and work experience in marketing/PR and software.
